Witnessing Love
Sex is a private thing to many people. How freaky would it be to have people actively watching you while you are having sex with your partner? Well it’s not too freaky in Cali, Colombia, where it’s the law. This law is sort of a two-for-one. Women can only have sex with their husband and the first time they do, their mother has to “witness the act.” Creepy, if you ask me. What is the mother missing by not watching her daughter have sex for the first time? Who is prosecuted if she misses it? Is it the mother’s fault, the daughter’s, or the husband’s? This is why I can’t live in another country. The laws are not only weird, but confusing in the legal process as well.
