Masturbation is frowned upon in many cultures, but Indonesia seems to think it the worst crime possible. If your are convicted of masturbation, the penalty is decapitation. Or at least that’s what all the websites say. Of course things can be blown out of proportion and little details are out. but this law was too outlandish to leave out, true or not. This may be an old law that is not enforced any more because people who live in Indonesia say they have never heard of it. It could also be totally made up.

Either way, tourism might have suffered a little after this news came out.
