So you’re living in Nebraska and you want to get married. Great. You and your fiancee are at least seventeen. Good so far. Oh, wait a second, one of you already has AIDS. Sorry, you can’t get married now, at least not in Nebraska.

That’s right, if you have a venereal disease you can’t marry in Nebraska. That’s all the law says about it, simple as that. Pretty straightforward if you ask me. So now in addition to getting a marriage license you have to get tested for any STD’s.

My guess is Nebraska has the lowest percentage of marriages of all the states. I’m just curious how that got passed and who the snobby guy was that mentioned it in the first place. Stinks for people with STD’s, but hey, that’s what Vegas is for!
